NBA Shootout 2001

Introduction
Ahh, we here bring you NBA Shootout 2001. So who brought it in. 989 Sports. Duh. This fact may put a lot of smiles on many faces and may also put some not so happy smiles on others. But this is more of a personal developer conflict which I don't really care but let's get started.

Sony's line of sport games have been pretty good in my opinion for the regular Playstation. Though basketball is not my kind of console game, ( I love football ) I still like to play a couple of games. If they're good, that is. This game latest game from 989 and Sony seems to get my attention. Graphics look awesome because of the fact that it is a Playstation 2 game. Now, let's narrow down to the actual game features.

Features
- over 1,000 position-specific animations
- 50 signature dunks, which, according to 989 Sports, is four times the number of animations in the PlayStation version.
- models for the PS2 game were created by customizing such categories as height; weight; body style; texture-mapped faces; head shapes; skin tones and tattoos; and head, wrist, and arm bands.
- animated ref's (ABOUT TIME!)
- 60fps are guaranteed
- new TV-style presentation borrows from Fox Sports Net television broadcasts and has commentary from New Jersey Nets broadcaster Ian Eagle.
- more realistic physics and advanced AI.
- icon passing, cutting, and screening; the create-a-dunk option, hot streaks, the play creator, the franchise's signature touch shooting,
- gameplay modes: exhibition, season, and playoffs
